The Battery Pack Aadhaar (BPAN) system is managed by the Government of India. This tool is a consumer-facing decoder built using publicly available draft guidelines.
The BPAN guidelines are currently in draft stage as of February 2026 and have not been formally notified as mandatory regulation. Manufacturer codes (positions 3–5 of the BPAN) are placeholders in the current draft. Decoded results, particularly manufacturer names, should be treated as indicative and verified with the battery manufacturer or authorised service centre for official confirmation.
